To claim an hour, Hold the Hour stores the display name, website, optional X handle, selected hour, and the email address given at checkout. If you upload a logo, the file and its stored address are kept. Orders store the price, status, payment references, and refund status. Messages you send to support are kept with that correspondence.
The name, logo, website, and X handle on a current listing are public on the clock and the hour page. A recorded claim’s name, logo, link, amount, and time are public in that hour’s history unless the claim is withdrawn, hidden, or corrected. A First 365 place that has not been withdrawn is public. The checkout email is how that purchase is answered. A wall place belongs to the brand, not to the email or account that paid, so a different email or a guest checkout does not earn the same brand another plaque. Email addresses, payment references, refund notes, and support messages are not shown on the clock. The checkout email and any refund request are kept so the purchase or the request can be answered. They are not used for marketing. Refund status is shown on the confirmation page. An automatic email is not sent when a listing appears. If a later buyer takes over your hour, the address from that purchase is emailed. The message names the UTC hour, the price to take it back, and a link to that hour. Taking it back is optional. Submitting a refund request does not, by itself, change what is shown on the clock.
When card checkout is available, the payment provider processes the card. Hold the Hour stores payment and refund references and does not store full card numbers. The provider’s own notice describes how it handles card data.
The pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google for those files. This application does not set an advertising or analytics cookie. It does not run a separate job that deletes host logs after 30 days. The host may keep ordinary security logs for its own period. Order and history records are kept while they are needed to show the clock, explain a payment, or handle a dispute or privacy request. Payment references are not kept on the theory that they must be stored forever.
You can ask for access, correction, or deletion by writing to holdthehour@gmail.com. A request that touches history or a First 365 place is considered under the law that applies to it. A withdrawn claim is removed from the public dial and from the promotional wall, while the private payment record can remain where it is needed to explain the refund.
